  The end of an era ......

  i have written some time ago, about how the religion i grew up in no longer exists.

  i was an 80’s jw kid who became a pioneer then a bethelite.

  they have new meetings, new elder roles, new acronyms, new core teachings, new songs and even a new bible.

  How right you are snare&racket about how much it has changed in the last few years. Born in 1954 I remember how I was told I would never go to school and then when I started I was told I would never graduate from high school. I graduated. Then when we had our first child in 1977 I was told he would never go to school then he did and he graduated. In 1982 the same thing was told about our youngest son and he graduated. Now with our grandchildren we have one who in the next few years will graduate.

  I am now 63 years old been married for almost 44 years. I am now looking forward to graduating from life in the future. The big lie told to me as a child that I would not grow old and die was a false hope indeed. Yet the propaganda machine of the Wt. keeps going on. They may look different now but they are still destroying lifes in their wake. Still Totally ADD

  Back in the early 1970's we had a old brother named Harry Campbell. He use to talk about Rutherford all the time. He knew him very will. He claims he help develop the soundcars. He would talk about driving these soundcars all over the place. He would laugh about waking people up in the morning with the loud sounds coming out of the speakers. Harry was in his mid 80's when I knew him and this experience was the highlight of his life. He never said anything bad about Rutherford except he did not like the ending of using soundcars.

  Back in the 70's I knew a lot of the old timers that Russell and Rutherford real well. Most were positive about Russell but very negative about Rutherford. Still Totally ADD

  there are a few things of interest, but the biggest thing to tell is with regard to the amount of times that pornography was discussed.

  not just one talk... several.

  the last brother had a computer on the table with him as he talked about porn.

  The last elder school I went to was Nov. 2010 and at the end they read a loyalty oath to the GB. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Affirmation of this oath was elder suddenly standing up and enthusiastically clapping. Month later I walked away never to go back.

  With that said it does not surprise me what they are teaching the elders and MS these days. The porno problem is not anything new it is just easier for men to have access to it. Wait until VR becomes real popular the elders and MS will be dropping like flies. Still Totally ADD

  My wife the other day must of done a dozen street signs an the it went to cars. After about 5 mins. Success. Even with the I am not a robot checked she still had to go through all that. Keep smiling and look out for those signs and cars. Still Totally ADD

  i think it's absolutely disgusting how the organisation has treated childhood victims of pedophilia and rape.

  i think their "standards" of requiring two witnesses for belief is absurd.

  i think how they try and quietly brush things under the rug in the back rooms of kingdom halls is completely despicable.

  Many of my friends who are Republicans are sicken by what's going on in their party. The Republican party always liken themselves as a moral party. If the likes of Roy Moore ends up in the Senate the Republican party will have a hard time explaining how they are the moral party. Democratic party have the same problems but they don't go out and represent themselves as a moral party.

  Moore acts like a typical child abuser by going on the offense by blaming everyone else instead of asking for forgiveness for what he did. Plus both him and his wife hide behind there so called Christian faith. Notice the crosses his wife hangs on her ears and the cross on his lapel. Still Totally ADD

  so, my son bought me a device that allows me to look up and watch anything i want.

  i remember years ago , i enjoyed the television show hee haw on sunday evenings.

  i naively thought it was wholesome family entertainment.

  So my PIMO Younger Brother Tried To Kill Himself Today

  we all know that this cult will drive those trying to leave to desperate measures, and today by brother was very nearly one of those statistics.

  he slashed his thigh with a kitchen knife and was bleeding out until he called the police.. i got a call on my way home from work from a police officer, coincidentally it was one of my old friends from school who's now a cop.

  he told me my brother is in hospital after an attempted suicide and has lost some blood but will be ok. but i should get to the hospital as he's asking for me.

  P.E. I am so sorry for your brother. I was in his same shoe's over 30 years ago. Depression caused by the cult is devastating. I know. Your brother is so lucky to have you on his side. Talking to his therapist was a stroke of genius on your part. I hope he will keep you in his confidence. I have no idea why those two elders are even there. As far as I am concerned they have no business being there. It is so sad how the cult blames the abused for being the abuser. But this is what cults are good at. Keep the faith and stay strong. You are a great guy for protecting your brother like this. Your family may be willing to take the low road and throw you under the bus but you have taken the high road and in turn become the better person for it.

  Take care of yourself so you can be there for your brother. Thank you for sharing this story with us. Still Totally ADD

  freddo the overlapping generations is like this for most of us when reaching middle age our bellies start to swell due to no exercise and eating to much. So overlapping occurs with our bellies now for others that overlapping becomes so great you can't see your feet or your back side any more. That is the true overlapping generations where you can't see the end. Still Totally ADD

  What I have seen of steampunk looks very interesting to me because it involves repurposing old items. I watch a tiny house episode on TV where they used steampunk designs. I thought it was kind of neat. It showed a inventive individualism of design and I like that. One of a kind look. The cookie cutter housing we see today is just to boring to me. Being unique to me is the way to go. Still Totally ADD

  They use iPads instead of a bible. Door to door is for the weaker ones with their ipad while the spiritual Strong's ones get to sit near Wt.carts and watch people walk by. The GB are rock stars in their own mind. Everyone listens to a TV broadcast every month by the GB. Higer Education is still evil. Begging for Money is a big thing for them. All those child abuse cases are costing them a lot. By the way Armageddon is almost here. There is also a lot of singing and dancing in the kingdom Hall. That's all I can think of now.
